Collection and Disclosure of Personal Information for Permit Approval
Any personal information that you provide through the MC Permit Application Website is collected for the Government of Manitoba under the authority of section 36(1)(b) of The Freedom of Information and Protection of Protection Act (FIPPA). We only collect personal information, including your name, address, and telephone number and credit card information, that is necessary for approving and issuing permits that you apply for and the information you provide will only be used for this purpose.
In order to process your permit application, it may be necessary for MC to share some of the personal information you have provided (excluding your credit card number or other financial information) with bodies outside the relevant Licensing Authority so they can authorize the permit. This can include: Manitoba Hydro, Bell MTS, CN and CP railways. Only the minimum necessary information will be provided to these outside bodies.
