Consumer Education
Consumer education is about raising awareness of consumer rights and responsibilities in the marketplace, providing Manitobans with the information they need to make sound decisions as consumers, and also where to go when they need help.
Although nearly 90 per cent of Canadians feel they are well-informed when making financial decisions, only about two in three have a good understanding of their rights when they encounter a problem with a financial institution. Many say they find information on financial issues to be difficult to understand.
The information contained in this section will link Manitobans with resources that will help them make sound decisions in the marketplace.
