Manitoba operates three hatcheries, including a year-round operation at the Whiteshell Fish Hatchery and two seasonal operations at the Swan Creek Fish Hatchery and Clearwater Spawn Camp. These hatcheries produce walleye and a variety of trout species that are stocked in waterbodies across Manitoba to enhance fishing opportunities and generate local economic activity for many communities. 

Manitoba stocks approximately 100 waterbodies each year. The "Lake Information for Anglers" site provides information such as bathymetric data, fish stock assessment data, boat launch photos and fish stocking records. Recent and historical stocking efforts since 1917 can be searched by fish species, year, waterbody, or fishing division.
