Biography
Sandhu arrived in Canada as a teenager and has been a resident of the Maples for 34 years, living there with his wife and raising their three children. Before entering the political arena, he made his way to a leadership position within one of Winnipeg's largest taxicab companies. In 2019, Sandu was elected to the legislative assembly. His tenure has been marked by diligent efforts to enhance the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) and promote family reunification. He has also worked to facilitate the employment of internationally trained nurses in Manitoba and ensured wage protection for taxi drivers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sandu has been a staunch advocate for workers and new Canadians.
