The Accessibility for Manitobans Act
The Accessibility for Manitobans Act became law in December 2013. This landmark legislation provides a process to remove barriers affecting people with disabilities and many other citizens.
The Protecting and Supporting Children (Information Sharing) Act
The Protecting and Supporting Children (Information Sharing) Act allows government departments, organizations and others who provide services to at-risk and vulnerable children to collect, use and share personal information, including personal health information, about supported children and their parents or legal guardians. Personal information can be shared without consent, only when it is in the best interests of a supported child.
