Section 166.7 - Incidental Expenses
Incidental Expenses funding is intended to partially offset miscellaneous expenses incurred while a participant is engaged in Employability Assistance for People with Disabilities funded vocational or educational services.
The rate for Incidental Expenses is up to $25.00 per month. Refer to Section 144 for criteria and standards.
The funding is not a wage and is available to participants engaged in approved activities for five or more days per month as follows:
- for those participating on or off-site, in Assessment or Employment Services provided or facilitated by an Employment and Training Centre, or
- for those pursuing Educational Training, whether full-time or part-time. If a single course, that course must be 30 hours or more in order to qualify. Exam days may be included as class days.
- for persons in Educational Training, Incidental Expenses are intended to cover the cost of basic supplies such as pens, pencils, paper, photocopying, recordable media, and other minor course expenses.
