Electronic Application Forms (eForms) Go LIVE on January 7, 2025

The Private Investigators and Security Guards program is excited to announce that NEW electronic application forms (eForms) will be available starting January 7, 2025.

The NEW eForm applications are available for individual Security Guard or Private Investigator Licence Applications including both New and Renewal licence applications.

Information will be updated as the launch date approaches and the eForm links will become available on January 7, 2025.

E-Forms will:

  • allow information to be entered directly into the application form online
  • allow the documents and photograph needed for the application to be uploaded directly to the eForm
  • accept payment for the licence fee online at time of application
  • provide a confirmation number for the application

From January 7, 2025 until February 15, 2025, The Private Investigators and Security Guards Program will continue to accept both the new e-form applications and the current application forms sent in by email to pisg@gov.mb.ca.

After February 15, 2025, email application forms will no longer be accepted to pisg@gov.mb.ca and all Individual Licence Applications will need to be made using the new e-forms.

We appreciate your patience during the transition period as we strive towards greater efficiency. We will be unable to provide application processing times during this transition period as we work to adapt our processes.

Important:

  • Please submit only one application form.
  • Please do not submit an e-form application if you have already submitted your application to pisg@gov.mb.ca by email.
  • Proof of payment for your application is not considered confirmation that the licence has been issued or approved.
  • A licence will be issued once the application is reviewed and the licence approved.
  • Licence cards will be sent by postal mail to the applicant mailing address once the licence has been issued.
  • You may work only once you have received your licence card in the mail.
  • Only the applicant may submit their application form.
  • Documents uploaded to the eForm must be .jpeg file format
  • Application requirements will remain the same as previously in place

Benefits of eForms:

  • Improved accuracy of information
  • Reduction of incomplete applications
  • More efficient payment processing
  • Information is submitted electronically to a secure government repository
  • A confirmation number is received to confirm the application was submitted

Launch date is January 7, 2025. Please check back for further information.
